Saugus business robbed
SAUGUS - Thieves broke into Cap World on Route 1 Saturday and stole a cash register drawer and two pickup trucks from the parking lot, police said.
One of the trucks, a 2009 Chevy Colorado, was involved in a hit-and-run accident directly in front of Cap World as it was leaving the business shortly after 10 p.m., according to police.
The other stolen truck, a 2008 GMC Sierra, was recovered at McGarvey's Towing a short time later, police said.
Police said they determined the burglary occurred at about 10 p.m. Saturday and entry was gained through a rear window. The incident wasn't reported to police until Monday morning.
No arrests have been made.
