Men arrested after threatening Revere restaurant worker

REVERE - Three men were found with a handgun and about 15 knives in their car Sunday moments after they threatened an employee of Margarita's restaurant in Revere who owed them a debt, police said.

James Celona, 39, of 19 Saratoga St., East Boston, Darrell Interbartolo, 34, of 251 Marion St., East Boston and Dennis Segal, 38, of 507 Ferry St., Everett were arrested and charged with unlicensed possession of a firearm, violating the city's knife ordinance and disorderly conduct.

Police say the three were drinking at the bar inside the American Legion Highway restaurant about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when employees called police saying they caused a scene after making threatening statements toward an employee.

The men allegedly asked about an employee and repeatedly asked a manager where the employee was located. The employee in question was working in the kitchen at the time, police said.

As the suspects left the bar they allegedly told the manager, "We'll be back every night," according to a police report.

They got into a white pickup truck and began to drive away when police were called. An officer passed the truck going in the opposite direction on the highway and pulled it over a moment later.
Police say they noticed a knife in plain view after the car was pulled over. When one of the passengers was forced to exit the vehicle, police said they noticed a handgun in plain view underneath the front seat.

Police say 15 additional knives were found in the back seat as well as a bat and a billy club.

According to the Revere police log, Celona's house was searched by police on Monday and an additional illegal firearm was recovered.

The three are scheduled for arraignment today in Chelsea District Court.

" Not one comment (other than mine). Had this taken place in Saugus, especially at a "nightclub" there'd be a dozen or so asking for the establishment head on a silver platter; demanding the "establishment" do more to protect their employees... "
