LYNN — A Lynn man was arrested for percocet distribution on Monday.
Samuel Descoteaux, 41, was charged with percocet possession with intent to distribute and percocet distribution. Percocet contains a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone, an opioid.
Undercover detectives from the Lynn Police Drug Task Force had information that Descoteaux was dealing percocet pills from his home on Den Quarry Road. Surveillance was being conducted on his house, and at about 11:50 a.m., detectives observed a car pull up, Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly said.
Descoteaux then allegedly left his apartment and got into the front seat of the car, which pulled away and did a quick loop, which police believed was done to complete a drug deal. After the loop, the car started heading back towards the house, and was stopped near the residence to let Descoteaux exit the vehicle, Donnelly said.
Descoteaux was arrested and the driver, a 55-year-old Nahant man, was issued a summons for percocet possession. Descoteaux had a cell phone on him and $80. The Nahant man had allegedly bought two pills, valued at $40 each, Donnelly said.
Donnelly said Descoteaux was cooperative with police, telling them that he sold the pills and that there were more in his house. He consented to a search of his home. Inside, police found 21 blue percocet pills, 13 green percocet pills and $872 in cash.
