LYNN – A trio of city residents involved in a reported drug operation on Summer Street were arrested late Thursday.Yolanda Guy, 29, Joseph Castillo, 25, and Melvin Good, 23, all of 378 Summer St., Lynn, were arraigned in Lynn District Court Friday.They are all scheduled to appear in Peabody District Court on March 12.Guy was charged with possession of a class B substance with the intent to distribute, two counts of a drug violation in a school zone, possession of a class C substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a class D substance, unlawful possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a firearm without an FID card, and is currently being held on $5,000 cash bail.Castillo was charged with possession of a firearm without an FID card, illegal possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a class C substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a class B substance with the intent to distribute, subsequent offense, two counts of a drug violation in a school zone, and is currently being held on $25,000 cash bail.Melvin Good was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, possession of a firearm without an FID card, possession of ammunition without an FID card, possession of a class B substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a class C substance with intent to distribute, two counts of a drug violation in a school zone, and is currently being held on $15,000 cash bail.The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) obtained and executed a search warrant at 378 Summer St., with the help of the Lynn Police Department Gang Unit and the Patrol Division.Prior to executing the search warrant, police said they observed Good and Castillo walk into the Summer Street apartment and then leave shortly after and enter a motor vehicle.Police approached the motor vehicle in the driveway and advised Good and Castillo that a search warrant was going to take place at their apartment and that they were being detained.Frustrated by the turn of events, police said Castillo attempted to walk away as they began a pat frisk, and started yelling that he had recently been stabbed.Officers placed both men in handcuffs as they proceeded to the apartment for the search warrant.In the kitchen, police found a digital scale, two twists of suspected crack cocaine, scissors, and two boxes of sandwich bags.In addition, $2,000 was found in a bedroom and a firearm.When Guy returned home, she initially told police that she lived at the apartment alone with her daughter, and said that the money belonged to Castillo and that he got in through a recent inheritance.When police questioned her about the firearm, she allegedly said that she was letting Castillo stay with her because he was like a brother to her and that he didn’t have a place to live at the time, and that Good was her boyfriend.Guy was then taken into custody, and was later discovered to have a plastic baggie with a suspected marijuana cigarette in a cigarette pack in her purse.
