SWAMPSCOTT – Police dogs and investigators were called to 63 Suffolk Ave. Wednesday evening after a woman allegedly bit a male’s ear during an altercation.
Kathleen McLaughlin, 45, 63 Suffolk Ave., was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and disturbing the peace.
Police Chief Ronald Madigan said K9 units were called in because McLaughlin fled on foot before police arrived.
?The search lasted a couple of hours and she was observed by an officer,” Madigan said. “An extensive search with K9’s, she was located by an officer in a wooded area near the home.”
Madigan said the department received numerous reports of a domestic altercation involving a male and female outside the Suffolk Avenue home at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Madigan said McLaughlin, who allegedly bit the victim’s ear, was arrested by Officer Brian Wilson.
McLaughlin was arrested in June 2008, when living in Marblehead and charged with three counts of violating a restraining order and misdemeanor breaking and entering at 63 Suffolk Ave., where she currently lives.
