It took a full team effort, but the Peabody girls lacrosse team was able to notch a win over the No. 13 Methuen Rangers, 9-7, at home in the first round of the Division 1 North tournament on Tuesday.

The No. 4 Tanners (14-5) got their first tournament win since 2013.

Kirsten Bradley led the way with three goals and one assist, while Amanda Bradley scored three goals. Emma Rigol had two goals and Chloe Gizzi added one of her own.

Alyssa Shashaty, Michaela Jacks, Carla Pantania, Sarah Buckley and Catherine Manning all played well on the defensive end. Goalie Gianna Denisco had 11 saves in the win.

“We had a lot of turnovers, mainly unforced errors, on offense that hurt us in the first half and Methuen made us pay,” said Peabody coach Dennis Desroches. “In the second half, we were able to limit our turnovers and move the ball in transition, which led to better offensive sets.”

The Tanners will move on to face No. 5 Woburn (14-4) at home in the quarterfinals on Thursday.

Ipswich 17, Lynnfield 7

The Pioneers finish their season at 10-9.

North Andover 17, Revere 1

The Falcons improve to 12-7 on the year and will move on to face the winner of No. 2 Masconomet and No. 15 Salem in the Division 1 quarterfinals on Thursday.

Andover 19, Beverly 10

Beverly finishes its season with a 10-10 record.
