The Peabody golf team was as hot as, well, Thursday’s weather. The Tanners picked up a 62.5-9.5 home win against Saugus on Thursday.
Talk about consistency – every Tanner won their match.
“That has never happened in all the years I’ve been coaching,” Peabody coach Peter Cronan said.
Mason Clickstein led the charge, winning 7-2. He was followed by Matt Ryder (7.5-1.5), Tristan Joyce (9-0), Mike Ryan (8-1), Cameron Connolly (9-0), Joe Keka (8-1), Elijah Swanson (6.5-2.5), and Jason Houlden (7.5 to 1.5).
The Tanners travel to face Salem at 4 p.m. on Monday. Saugus visits Marblehead at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
The majority of games were postponed due to the heat.
