To the editor:
As a longtime resident of Swampscott, I am writing this letter in Support of MaryEllen Fletcher for the Select Board. MaryEllen is the current chair of the Select Board and coupled with her six years of experience on the Finance Committee, she has exhibited strong leadership qualities that have distinguished her as an exceptional candidate for re-election.
MaryEllen’s commitment to our town translates directly to her long hours of work for you, the residents of Swampscott. She listens, takes action, and puts in the effort to make a real difference. Our town is faced with many pressing issues that will require leaders who do the work, respectfully engage, listen, and respond to every resident’s concerns. That is no small task.
MaryEllen is an intelligent businesswoman who’s passionate about everything she does, and she’s one of the hardest-working women I know. Her qualifications, goals, and visions for the town of Swampscott say it all, and she has shown that she can and will get the job done well.
In Swampscott’s pivotal election for Select Board, my choice is MaryEllen Fletcher, and I hope you will join me in supporting her candidacy. Being a Select Board member is challenging, and I am confident that MaryEllen is ready to resume the demanding time commitment to work for us.
