A report of a letter carrier smoking pot at 11:28 a.m. Friday on Ruby Avenue. The postmaster reported one of their drivers was caught smoking marijuana in the vehicle and he had a soda can filled with pot.
A report of a school investigation at 1:16 p.m. Friday on Village Street. A student reportedly fled the building. The male student was found in the woods between school and the Robinson Farm and was taken back to the school to be checked out by the nurse.
A caller reported there was a man with a sign near CVS at 1:45 p.m. Saturday on Commercial Street. There was reportedly another man there and the two were having a heated dispute that was escalating. A caller reported the man had a sign that contained hate speech and was violence inciting. He said the man had no right to hold the sign with that wording.
A report of bikes doing wheelies at 6:42 p.m. Saturday on Washington Street. A group of about four kids on bicycles in the Crosby’s lot were reportedly doing wheelies and obstructing cars from leaving the parking lot.
Theft
A child’s scooter was reported stolen at 10:55 a.m. Saturday on Washington Street. A caller came out of the store and discovered that someone had stolen his 6-year-old’s scooter. The owner called back to report the scooter was found down by the Driftwood. She said it seemed like someone had taken it for a joy ride.

Arrest
Fernando Encarnacion, 34, of 29 Oak St., Apt. 2, was arrested and charged with Class B drug possession and walking/riding on railroad tracks at 9:34 p.m. Saturday.

A report of a motor vehicle crash at 7:38 p.m. Friday at 740 Jubilee Drive. A vehicle into a pole was reported. A 35-year-old man was taken to Salem Hospital; at 11:43 a.m. Saturday at 147 Summit St. and Lynnfield Street; at 2:09 p.m. Saturday at BMW of Peabody at 221 Andover St.
Complaints
A report of gunshots at 8:11 p.m. Friday on Wilson Square. An officer reported smelling smoke consistent with fireworks.
A report of a neighborhood dispute at 8:22 p.m. Saturday at 11 Quarry Terrace. A caller reported his dog has been sick ever since his neighbor placed a device on the fence that was allegedly used to control his dog’s barking. Police forwarded the complaint to the animal control officer.
Overdose
A report of an overdose at 6:16 p.m. Friday on Sylvia Road. Narcan was used and the person was taken to Beverly Hospital.
Theft
A report of a larceny at 4:33 p.m. Saturday at Burlington Coat Factory at 310 Andover St. A caller reported $500 was taken from his wife’s purse. Police reported the woman was pickpocketed; at 6:09 p.m. Saturday at Aviv Center for Living at 242 Lynnfield St. A Samsung tablet was reported stolen.
Vandalism
A report of vandalism at 5:28 p.m. Friday at 15 Martha Terrace. A caller reported her motorcycle was vandalized.
