SWAMPSCOTT — Police are investigating a single-car crash that left a 17-year-old Swampscott man seriously injured Saturday night.
Police responded to the crash at 377 Forest Ave. shortly after 9 p.m. and found a car had collided with a telephone pole, according to Carrie Kimball, spokeswoman for the Essex County District Attorney’s office.
The teen driver was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital and his condition was still reported as critical Sunday night, Kimball said.
No charges have been filed. The incident is under investigation by Swampscott Police and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
