PEABODY — A boat in one of the service bays of Bosun’s Marine on 205 Newbury St. caught fire at 7:37 p.m. Saturday, and was quickly put down by the Peabody Fire Department.
About 10 firefighters arrived on the scene at 7:50 p.m. and had knocked down the blaze by about 8 p.m. according to Peabody Fire Capt. Scott Patturelli.
There were no injuries, and it was unclear how badly the boat was damaged.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though it appears to have originated from the engine.
