BEVERLY — A Peabody man who went missing more than two weeks ago was found dead on Saturday afternoon.
Daniel Donovan, 47, of Peobody, was last seen at 2 p.m. on Jan. 26 at Beverly Hospital. He reportedly walked off the hospital’s property that day and did not return home.
On Saturday, at approximately 4:22 p.m. Beverly police received a 911 call reporting a deceased man in the woods in the vicinity of Ayers Ryal Side Elementary School at 40 Woodland Ave., according to the Essex District Attorney’s office.
The Beverly Police Department and EMS responded to the call and found the man. He was later identified as Donovan.
Donovan had been discharged from Beverly Hospital on Jan. 26. When he did not return home and his family was not able to make contact with him, they reported Donovan missing.
The case is currently under the investigation of the Essex State Police Detective per protocol. Foul play is not suspected, according to the Essex District Attorney’s office.
