LYNN — The Police Department found one person dead in a car that was on fire Thursday night at 43 Boston St. The victim has yet to be identified, according to a statement from the department.
According to the statement, Lynn Police responded to a report of a car fire around 9:22 p.m. After the fire was extinguished, the victim was found in the car.
The buildings that were near the burning car sustained minor damage, the statement added.
“Detectives from the Lynn Police Criminal Investigation Division, the Massachusetts State Police and the Lynn Fire Arson Squad are investigating,” the statement said.
