LYNN — The Police and Fire departments were on the scene of a car fire off of Broad Street on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for the Fire Department said it is investigating after a minivan went up in flames a little after 2 p.m. in a parking lot behind 149 Broad St.
Smoke from the vehicle could be seen from the adjacent street, and the smell of burning rubber was present. Small explosions could also be heard when a reporter from The Item was on the scene.
The fire was isolated to the single vehicle, while there was also damage to a nearby fence.
No injuries were reported.
