LYNN– The Cobbet School is open this morning after city maintenance repaired a steam valve problem.
Superintendent Catherine Latham said, “a sticky valve” affected the school’s heat Monday morning.
Latham said heat was restored by 11:30 a.m. Monday.
City Inspectional Services Michael Donovan said workers traced the problem to the boiler in adjoining Fecteau Leary School.
The boiler serves Fecteau and Cobbet.
“The heat is on today. I don’t expect any further problems,” said Latham.
