LYNN — Residents at one Mason Street residence had a rude awakening Sunday morning when gunshots hit their bathroom.
A 53-year-old man, a second-floor resident of 12 Mason St., told police responding to the 4:10 a.m. call that he heard three gunshots and glass breaking. The man stated he checked on his family members and found the bathroom mirror shattered, with pieces in the sink, Lynn Police Lt. Rick Donnelly said.
Upstairs, an officer found three spent bullets in one of the bathrooms and two holes in the bathroom window. There were no injuries. The man couldn’t give any information about how the spent shell casings got on the floor and the incident is still under investigation, Donnelly said.
