A report of suspicious activity at 10:32 a.m. Friday on Taft Street. A caller was concerned about a sign on a parked car. The sign read “Police Telephone Free for use of Public Advice & assistance obtainable immediately officer & cars respond to all calls Pull to Open.” An officer tried to explain that it was from the TV series, Dr. Who, but she had never heard of it.

A report of a disturbance at 4:28 p.m. Friday on Broughton Road. A caller reported a 13 to 14-year-old boy restraining another boy on the ground. A third boy came along and was using a rope to tie him up. One was telling the other to get off of him and third was yelling to hurry up. An officer reported the three young boys were just fooling around and were advised not to yell for help.
