REVERE — Joseph Boncore of Winthrop won the vacant senate seat in the First Suffolk and Middlesex District defeating former Revere Mayor Daniel Rizzo.
The seat was previously held by Anthony Petruccelli of East Boston who resigned to become a lobbyist.
