HAWC seeks donations of maternity clothes

June 26, 2007 by dliscio

SALEM – Although it may seem like an eternity to the pregnant woman, nine months isn’t that long, and it spans three seasons. This relatively brief period means their maternity clothes probably won’t get much wear, and that can benefit Help for Abused Women and their Children (HAWC).Each time the Rerun Boutique at 330 Rantoul St. in Beverly sells donated maternity clothing, the proceeds go directly to HAWC, a Salem-based emergency shelter and counseling service for victim of domestic violence. To ensure the financial assistance continues to flow, Rerun Boutique is accepting donations of gently used maternity clothes in good condition. Due to high volume, walk-in donations cannot be accepted. Anyone wishing to schedule an appointment for drop-off can call Karen Carone at the shop, (978) 922-5422.
