REVERE-Two Revere brothers trying to escape arrest led cops on a foot pursuit near their High Street home yesterday, causing children playing at the nearby Lincoln School to be forced indoors, police said.Police knew Donald Desimone Jr., 43 and his brother, Ronald, both of 43 High St., had outstanding warrants when an officer on routine patrol observed the pair walking near Broadway around 12:45 p.m., according to police.”They’ve been eluding police on outstanding warrants for quite some time,” said Capt. Michael Murphy. But when Sgt. Brian Chapman tried to speak with the brothers, they both allegedly fled.Several units, including a State Police K-9, were brought into the chase, which went through several backyards surrounding the school.Donald was finally brought to the ground by Detective Mike Mason and Officer Christopher Giannino, according to police. However, Ronald was never caught.Donald is facing misdemeanor warrant charges, and any additional charges stemming from yesterday’s chase. Ronald is still wanted for felony larceny, among other felony charges, police said.Murphy said lately neighbors have been calling the cops for suspicious activity at the brothers’ home.”They’ve been causing havoc in the neighborhood due to recent activities,” Murphy said. “The neighbors have been up in arms.”A woman who lives with the brothers gave consent to a police search yesterday, but officers didn’t find anything suspicious, police said.
