PEABODY – Peabody police were searching for a man who allegedly tried to abduct a woman walking home from work on Joy Road around 11 p.m. Sunday.According to preliminary reports, a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt approached the victim and grabbed her from behind. He then reportedly punched her in the face. The victim got away and called police.On Wednesday night, a 17-year-old woman was stabbed on Troy Street, just down the street from Joy Road, by an unknown male attacker.Police made no arrests in that case.
