SAUGUS-The Lynn woman who caused a rude awakening for a Saugus couple when her car flew into their bedroom on Lincoln Avenue early Sunday morning has been charged with negligent operation, police said Monday.Maria Bouras, 30, of 24 Forest St., Lynn, was driving her 2003 Lexus northbound on Lincoln Avenue at 2:50 a.m. when she hit two parked vehicles before hitting a curb and flying into the air, according to police and witnesses. The Lexus then landed upside down at a 45-degree angle and through the wall of the couple’s bedroom, coming to rest inches above their bed as they slept.The residents are identified as Anthony and Karen Fabrizio of 142 Lincoln Ave. Karen was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital, where she was upgraded to fair condition Monday night.Bouras was also transported to Mass. General, where she was treated and released on Sunday.Police said Bouras did not appear to be under the influence when rescue crews responded to the accident.Karen Fabrizio was buried in rubble in bed as a result of the crash, while Anthony had to “disentangle” himself from the bedroom, according to police and firefighters. The family dog was found trapped under the bed unharmed.A 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee, owned by neighbor Brian Nilsson, 42, was totaled in the crash after he parked it on Lincoln Avenue a few hours earlier. Nilsson said he rushed to the crash scene to help after hearing a loud “boom.””I’ve seen a few accidents on this street? But nothing like this,” Nilsson said. “What a way to wake up.”
