Rain prompts high-school sports postponements

Mother Nature was the big winner on the high school sports slate as morning rains on Monday washed out most of the action.The Bishop Fenwick-Peabody boys and girls soccer games were postponed and are tentatively scheduled to be made up next Saturday. The Saugus girls game against Salem will also be made up on Saturday, Oct. 20.In cross country, Danvers and Salem will run tomorrow at 3:45 as will Marblehead and Saugus. English and Revere will go at 4.In field hockey, the Danvers-Revere match was postponed (no makeup date was available) while Saugus will be at Salem today (3:45).
