SALEM – A man arrested in Lynn with cocaine and heroin was indicted Friday afternoon by an Essex County grand jury.Jose Aponte, of Summer Street, Boston, is charged with distribution of cocaine, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute heroin stemming from his arrest on Pendexter Street in Lynn on the night of Aug. 29.Because Aponte was previously convicted of drug charges in 1995 out of Middlesex Superior Court, he faces a more severe punishment of five years in state prison on each of the three offenses.Assistant District Attorney Karen H. Hopwood is assigned to prosecute the case for the commonwealth.
