LYNN-Lynn police made a fourth arrest for the shooting that occurred in broad daylight on Summer Street two weeks ago.A 16-year-old male juvenile, of 26 Woodman St., Lynn, was arrested on a warrant Tuesday at about 8:30 a.m. and charged with armed assault to murder, possession of a firearm without a Firearm Identification Card and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.Police responded to Summer Street, near South Street, shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 for gunshots. Within moments, police were also called to the rear parking lot of Lynn Vocational Technical Institute, where a group of people transported the gunshot victim, an 18-year-old man, to the parking lot from the shooting scene in a minivan.The victim was shot once in the lower back, but his injury was not considered life-threatening.Within 30 minutes of the attack, police arrested Peron Chear, 17, of 40A Neptune St. along with two male juveniles, ages 14 and 15. They were located outside 103 Warren St., the scene of a stabbing 22 hours earlier.After the shooting, police said the shooter was with a group when he fired a series of shots outside 437 Summer St.According to Lynn police spokesperson Lt. David Brown, the suspects were charged as part of a joint venture, meaning they allegedly planned the attack before one of them fired the shots. All four suspects were charged with armed assault with intent to murder.Police said the juvenile arrested Tuesday was placed into custody at his home when officers learned of his whereabouts.
