Boys soccer roundup: Tchoumi, Tech defeat Fellowship

Prince Tchoumi scored three goals as Tech upped its record to 6-6-1 with a 7-3 decision over Fellowship at Manning Field on Wednesday.Richard Jones-Alas (goal, 2 assists), Yerlin Guevara, Elmer Vincente and Klaus Alexis also found the net. Tech had a 4-1 lead by halftime. Gerson Rodriguez and Rolandy Romulous split the game in net.”Both Prince and Richard tend to connect well together,” Tech coach Fred Gallo said.Saugus 3, Beverly 0At Saugus, Tom Duplisea scored two goals and Carmen Bordonaro one for the Sachems (4-5-1). Corey Rutledge and Julian Guillremo picked up assists and Joe Meuse was a rock in net.Marblehead 4, Salem 1At Marblehead, the Magicians’ (6-3-2) Alex Terrill had a pair of goals while Ellery Smith had a goal and an assist.Nick Belesis picked up two assists with Dillon Irving also having a goal. Kurt Grossman made seven saves.Fenwick 2, Marian 1At Peabody, the Crusaders’ (7-2-1, 6-1-1 CCL) scored the winning goal on a penalty kick with under two minutes left.Alex Sachetti got the ball rolling for Fenwick when he took a cross from Mark Price 10 minutes into the game and scored. Marian’s Marc Notarigello tied things up at the 51-minute mark, setting the stage for Andrew DiNuccio’s heroics. A Marian player got called for a trip in the box and Fenwick was awarded a penalty kick. DiNuccio shot high and to the goalie’s right and found the back of the net.Brian McConnell had eight saves for the win.Peabody 5, Swampscott 0At Swampscott, the Tanners’ (9-1) Matt Quadros scored twice in the second half. Jared Shields, Lucas Brito and Mike Pennachio also had goals for Peabody, which got good defensive games from Mike Albano, Chris Neves and Jordan Hoofnagle.
