North Shore firefighters kept busy on Saturday night into early Sunday morning battling three separate house fires in Revere, Lynn and Peabody.The most serious blaze occurred in Revere, where a home at 64 Warren St. received extensive damage after the fire reached two alarms at 1:45 a.m. Sunday.Firefighters first responded at 1:23 a.m. when flames were shooting through the roof, according to Deputy Chief Ronald Cook.Crews fought the blaze at the vacant two and-a-half-story wood frame until nearly 6 a.m., Cook said.He added the fire had “a good head start” before firefighters got there. Cook said often times when fires have a burned for a while before anyone is called, it indicates it could be suspicious. However, he said a suspicious cause hasn’t been determined and it’s still under investigation.In Lynn, a chimney fire spread to the walls of 41 Pennybrook Road shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday, causing serious damage to that home as well.The fire originated in a fireplace, according to Fire Chief Jack Barry. The flames damaged the living room and a second-floor bedroom, Barry said.Peabody firefighters quickly knocked down a fire at 15 Ruth Ave. shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday. Similar to the Lynn fire, the flames started in a chimney before spreading to the walls and the attic of the one-story wood home.
