MARBLEHEAD – The Marblehead Ministerial Association recently celebrated its 27th annual Interfaith Covenant Service at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church.The service symbolizes the commitment of all religious congregations in Marblehead to respect each other. Each year, the framed Covenant documents have been passed from one congregation to another, symbolizing and re-affirming the Association’s purpose.Last year they resided at the Clifton Lutheran Church.The Rev. Andrew J. Stoessel, rector of St. Michael’s and president of the ministerial association, led the service.The Association’s 13 member organizations include the Church of St. Andrew; Clifton Lutheran Church; First Church of Christ in Marblehead; First Church of Christ, Scientist; Grace Community Church; Marblehead Counseling Center; Our Lady Star of the Sea; St. Michael’s Episcopal Church; St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church; Sufi Order International; Temple Emanu-El; Temple Sinai; Unitarian Universalist Church of Marblehead.
