SALEM – A Lynn resident and a Salem woman who worked as public servants for the state in Salem Superior Court for past 22 years have retired.Anne M. McCarthy, 74, of 28 Meadow Court, Lynn, and Patricia E. Cavanaugh, 65, of 64 Butler St., Salem, have capped off their respective careers.McCarthy, the mother of six children, began working at Salem Superior Court in 1985.Cavanaugh, the mother of four children, first worked a year in Salem Probate Court before transferring to Salem Superior Court in 1985.Employees and friends who have worked with them over the many years have planned a gathering for the women next week at the Porthole Pub in Lynn.
