Bishop Fenwick’s Bobby Tarr had a field day Friday, scoring four touchdowns and running for more than 300 yards in a 34-20 win over Cardinal Spellman at Brockton.Tarr was unstoppable, picking up 312 yards on 33 carries. This was the first time this season he cracked 300 yards. He did it twice last year, including Thanksgiving Day when he rang up 380 on 32 carries.Tarr scored his first two touchdowns on 1-yard runs and his third on a 54-yard dash. His fourth (47 yards) came late in the game after Spellman had scored to cut the lead to 28-20. He also had two conversions and he caught a 41-yard pass.. The only touchdown that didn’t have Tarr’s fingerprints on it came on a Pat Holleran 43-yard pass to Chris Renzuli. Holleran had a good day throwing the ball, connecting on three of seven passes for 106 yards and a touchdown. He also had an interception.”This was a very good win,” Fenwick coach Dave Woods said.”It was a tough, hard fought game. They (Spellman) played very physical. We just couldn’t put them away in the second half.”Woods said his team came up with a couple of big defensive stands that made a big difference.T.J.
