SALEM – A Salem man who went on a three-day crime spree this last summer, slashing a clerk during a robbery on Humphrey Street in Swampscott and stealing cash from two convenient stores in Lynn was one of five local people indicted Friday afternoon by an Essex County grand jury.David Uzdavinis, 24, of 43 Jackson St., Salem, stands charged with three counts of armed robbery and a single count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, causing serious bodily injury.On Aug. 6 just around 8 p.m., police say he robbed Dee?s Corner store at 37 Essex St., in Lynn, using a pocketknife.The following day shortly after 6 p.m., he allegedly stole money from the Lucky Seven, 369 Boston St., in Lynn.Then on Aug. 8 police say he brandished a 10-inch long knife as he walked into Spiro?s gas station at 620 Humphrey St., in Swampscott, demanding money from his former co-worker Arturo Robles.Robles, 18, of Lynn, was shoved to the floor and as Robles stood up, Chiappini reportedly swung the knife at him, causing him to sustain cuts on his left arm and hand.Chiappini had apparently worked at the store earlier in the month.He fled the scene with $60 from the cash register and was arrested two days later in Salem at a Lathrop Street apartment.Two women, Erin McClory, 22, of 42 Robinson St., Apt. 2, Lynn, and Janelle Anthony, 22, of 16 Page St., Peabody, are charged with being accessories after the fact of robbery in which the commonwealth maintains they helped Uzdavinis from being arrested knowing he had committed the Swampscott holdup.The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michael P. Hickey.Also indicted: Jonathan Christo, 48, of 261 Newbury St., Peabody, charged with two counts of rape of a child with force and a single count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 concerns allegations involving a 10-year-old girl he allegedly sexually assaulted on property on Lake Street in Lynnfield in 1999.Hector Constance-Soto, also known Luis Bethancourt, 47, of 14 Edward Court, Lynn, charged with trafficking over 14 grams of cocaine, two counts of distribution of cocaine, subsequent offenses, and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine concern three drug deals with an undercover officer in Salem last August.Then on Sept. 26, he was arrested in Lynn with a quantity of cocaine and a forged driver?s license permit.
