LYNN – Two Lynn men arrested on home invasion and weapons charges were ordered held without bail Wednesday pending a Nov. 20 dangerousness hearing in District Court.Francelin Lobo, 24, and Henrique Lobo, 22, were arrested late Tuesday after an alert Lynnfield police officer spotted the suspects’ white car on Route 1 south. Police were on the lookout for the car because it had been involved in a home invasion at approximately 10 p.m. at 37 Trinity Ave.The Lobos were arrested along with a 16-year-old juvenile and held overnight until their arraignment Wednesday in District Court before Judge Ellen Flatley.According to police reports, the trio armed with a shotgun and at least one handgun followed two men, ages 21 and 27, as they walked home from a 7-Eleven store near their residence Tuesday night. The two victims told police they saw two white motor vehicles moving slowly behind them. As the pair entered their Trinity Avenue home, the others in the motor vehicles rushed toward the front door and attempted to get inside.Quoting from witness statements, Police Lt. David Brown said, “As the victims tried to close the door, one of the suspects was attempting to push it open.” One of the suspects then smashed the window in the front door with the butt of a handgun, while another pointed a shotgun at the house, Brown said.”It appears that the suspects were unable to gain entry and fled the scene,” Brown added.Police put out a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) to neighboring law enforcement agencies regarding the vehicles and the suspects. Shortly thereafter, Lynnfield Patrolman Jon Burnham spotted a vehicle matching the description on the BOLO. The suspects were detained as state troopers and Lynn police arrived on the scene.Henrique Lobo was charged with attempted home invasion, possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card, causing malicious destruction to property, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. It was noted in court that he has three probation matters pending.Francelin Lobo was charged with attempted home invasion, possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and causing malicious destruction to property.The 16-year-old juvenile was also charged with illegal possession of a shotgun, assault with a dangerous weapon, the shotgun; causing malicious destruction to property, and attempted home invasion. Due to the suspect’s age, no further information was available from the court Wednesday.The commonwealth filed a motion to detain, prompting Judge Flatley to revoke bail for Henrique Lobo and order a hearing to determine if the men are a danger to the community. Both suspects were also ordered held without bail in connection with the alleged home invasion.During the hearing, prosecutors offered no motive for the crime.Court appointed attorney Julian H. Lebeck served as defense counsel.
