SAUGUS – A serious one-vehicle crash resulted in a trapped driver around 9:30 p.m. Thursday on Water Street near Richardson Circle.The driver was reportedly trapped inside a rental van. Firefighters were requesting mechanical equipment to free the victim upon their initial response to the scene.A MedFlight helicopter was also requested, but was unavailable due to poor weather.The victim’s identity was unavailable as of press time.-Dan O’Brien
