Friends of KIPP Academy to participate in Miracle Day

LYNN-The Friends of KIPP Academy Lynn Foundation Inc. will participate in a unique fundraising charity this holiday season, as the foundation, established to raise funds for the city’s charter school, will be one of many charities involved in the CIBC Miracle Day drive.CIBC World Markets is a wholesale and corporate banking arm of the national bank, which provides a range of integrated credit and capitol markets products, investment banking, and merchant banking to clients in key financial markets around the world, and designates the first Wednesday in December each year as Miracle Day.On Miracle Day, the company donates 100 percent of its commissions, less expenses, from trades made through the firm to children’s charities across the world. This year, Friends of KIPP Academy will participate for the first time, raising money to fund the public charter school.CIBC World Market clients can designate the Friends of KIPP Academy Lynn Foundation as the beneficiary of net commissions, and encourage friends who trade with the company to do the same.Prime brokers can run a client list of people who have traded with CIBC, and ask those clients to designate the foundation as the beneficiary.KIPP Academy Lynn is a public charter school serving grades 5-8 in the city. It is funded through the state and private donors. The Friends of KIPP Academy Foundation Inc. was established to help raise money for the school and participates in many fundraisers throughout the year.
