Saugus rollover victim in good condition

SAUGUS-A Saugus man was listed in good condition Wednesday night following a rollover accident on Essex Street a day earlier that injured him and his dog.Austin Chandler Brown, 51, of 9 Waterwheel Lane, was driving his Cadillac Escalade SUV westbound when it crossed the double yellow line and went down an embankment n rolling over several times n just past the Route 1 overpass.The dog was transported to the Saugus Animal Hospital.Firefighters said the vehicle narrowly missed hitting the guardrail before it rolled down the hill and took out a 20-foot tree.Rescue crews had to enter the vehicle through the rear passenger door because Brown became trapped. He was backboarded and carried through the woods to the road where he was placed on a stretcher and transported to Mass. General Hospital.
