December 4, 2007 by itemlive_news

On Saturday, Dec. 15 the Lynn Police Department will hold its Annual Children’s Christmas Party at Saint Michael’s Hall, located at 31 Elmwood Ave. The party is for Lynn children between the ages of 4 and 10 years old. If you would like your child to attend, you must pre-register by calling 781-595-2000 ext. 3114. You must provide the call taker with the child’s full name, age, address, and an emergency contact name and number. On the day of the party, check in will begin precisely at 9 a.m. It is anticipated that there will be a large number of children and, therefore, parents will not be allowed to attend. Due to limited space, there will be no exceptions. All children will be chaperoned by off-duty police officers. The festivities will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. Parents should arrive outside of Saint Michael’s Hall promptly at 11:45 a.m. to pick up their children. The children will be served pizza and soda for lunch and a dessert. It is anticipated that Santa Claus will make an appearance, along with popular characters such as Elmo, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Blue from Blues Clues and others. In addition, there will be holiday entertainment and each child will receive a grab bag and a present. This Annual Children’s Christmas Party is staffed completely by members of the Lynn Police Department, support staff and their families. The Police Department would like to acknowledge the contributions of several area businesses: Saint Michael’s Hall Association, Nicky’s Pizza, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Lynn English High School ROTC, and D.J. Mr. Kevin Kennedy. If a business or an individual would be interested in assisting, or if there are any questions, contact Lt. Thomas Reddy at 781 477-7896 or email your questions to [email protected].
