Burbridge would practice just as hard as she would play ? a very intense player and leader ? A three-year player who showed great development over the years, all resulting from a total dedication to the sport.COACH OF THE YEARDAVE GIARUSSOSt. Mary’sSt. Mary’s finished the season with a 16-2 record overall and a 12-0 record in the Catholic Central Small ? The Spartans won the CCL for the second year in a row en route to a No. 2 seeding in the MIAA Division III state tournament ? St. Mary’s lost in the quarterfinals ? The Spartans have won 32 consecutive games in the CCL ? With a strong returning core, St. Mary’s is once again expected to compete for the conference title ? Giarusso has built the volleyball program into an annual powerhouse and contender.The TeamLINDSAY BUCHANAN, Lynnfield – Senior Captain/Outside hitter, Cape Ann League all-star, North Shore all-league; second-year player elected captain by team for hard work and “lead-by-example” style ? Could break open games with vicious serve, giving the Pioneers either the chance to get back into the game or earn a comfortable lead ?
