BOSTON ? A Marblehead man was arrested Sunday in Boston’s South End after he allegedly tried to run out of a bar without paying for the tab.William Maurice, 22, was charged with defrauding an innkeeper shortly before 2 a.m.Maurice was drinking at An Tua Nua at 835 Beacon St. when he charged up a bill and tried to pay with a bad credit card, police said.When bar employees told Maurice his card was declined, he fled the establishment, according to police.Police managed to track down Maurice a short distance away and asked him why he decided to run out of the bar. Maurice allegedly told police his credit card had been stolen. When police showed Maurice his credit card that had been used at the bar, he allegedly said, “That’s not mine.”The declined card had Maurice’s name on it, police said.
