The Saugus boys and girls track teams swept Classical on Wednesday at Swampscott. It was the season opener for all four teams.The Saugus boys won, 54-22. Despite a solid outing at the pool, Tech lost its first meet of the season. Winning for Tech (0-1) were Matt Noonan, 200 free (2:41.5); Marcos Castellano, diving (176.4); Mike Leone, 500 free (8:19.74); and the 200 free relay team of Yulia Shebalina, John Hines, Noonan, and Saloeum Prak.GIRLS HOCKEYEverett 5, Peabody 3At Peabody, two third-period goals vaulted the Crimson Tide past the hosting Tanners (0-2). Peabody traded goals with Everett, with Colby Amor scoring in both the first and second periods. Amanda Provencher also scored in the second frame. For Peabody, Paige Samseverino, Meghan Canavan, and Tori Konvalchik all recorded assists.In just her second game ever, Peabody goalie Brittany Costa stood on her head and kept the Tanners in the game to the end.Milton 2, Marblehead 0At Milton, despite 25 shots, the Headers came up short on their long road trip. Moe Bradley in net for Marblehead (1-1) made 22 saves.
