Santa Claus is coming to Saugus

SAUGUS – If you are wondering if Santa will sweep down your street before he goes on his world tour Christmas Eve, the answer is a resounding yes.Following the same route he has for 20 years, Santa hits town at 6:30 p.m. when he glides into the Central Fire Station to pick up his Police and Fire escort. He will depart at 10 p.m. sharp to finish his appointed route.While in town he will make a special visit to Town Hall between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. to wish townspeople a very, Merry Christmas and he has requested as many children as possible stop by to see him.So listen for the sirens and come out and greet Santa as he passes by. His route will be as follows:6:30-6:35 p.m. Hamilton, Saville and Elm Streets6:35-6:45 p.m. Fairmont, Sherman, Garfield, Newcomb and Edison6:45-7 p.m. North Saugus School, Indian Rock Dr. and Arrowhead Dr.7-7:15 p.m. Walnut, Central, Jane Dr., Diane Dr. and Pearl Rd.7:15-7:30 p.m. Central, Appleton, Summer, Taylor Streets7:30-7:45 p.m. Saugus Center in front of Town Hall7:45-8 p.m. Main St., Saugus Commons, Main and Forest streets.8-8:15 p.m. Fellsway, Main and Hickory streets and Juniper Drive8:15-8:20 p.m. Howard and Main streets, Piece Drive8:20- 8:30 p.m. Highland, Talbot, Heritage House, Vine streets8:30-8:35 p.m. Essex Street to Fire Station8:50-8:55 p.m. Essex to Mt. Vernon and Laurel streets.8:55-9 p.m. Lincoln Avenue to Cliftondale Square9- 9:05 p.m. Lincoln Avenue and Seagirt Avenue9:05-9:15 p.m. Venice, Wickford, Pevwell, Gates and Richards street9:15-9:25 p.m. Dudly, Ballard, Johnson, Vincent and Chestnut streets9:25-9:30 p.m. Winter Street to Central Street9:30-9:45 p.m. Denver, Laurel Gardens, Elmwood, Adams Avenue9:45-9:55 p.m. Central, Hurd, Westland, Springdale, Stone streets9:55-10 p.m. Central Street to Saugus Center where Santa takes off until next year.
