LYNN – A late morning two-alarm fire broke out at 245 Judge Road on Wednesday that all but destroyed a two-story, single-family home.Lynn Fire Lt. Dave Legere said the fire, which started at 11 a.m., was extinguished quickly, except for a few remaining hot spots.”The fire started on the second floor of the house in the back bedroom and caused a hole in the wall or the floor,” he said. “Everything collapsed into the garage and there is a serious potential for further collapse.”Legere said Lynn Police officer Korn Kouch resides at the home with his wife and two young daughters. At the time of the fire, Legere said Kouch was at a doctor’s appointment with his youngest daughter, while his older daughter was at school and his wife was at work.No one was injured in the blaze.”We’re basically waiting for the insurance company to come to the house because right now because there is a 12-foot pile of rubble in the house from the collapse,” Legere said. “We don’t have a cause right now, and we’re deeming it accidental. But right now we can’t rule anything out yet.”Legere said the family would be staying with relatives in the meantime since the house is currently uninhabitable and damages are estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands.
