LYNN – A man was seriously hurt after getting hit by a car while crossing the intersection of Willow and Blake streets in Central Square shortly before 7:30 p.m. Thursday.The victim was a white male who appeared to be in his late 40s or early 50s. He was bleeding from his facial area shortly after the crash and may have suffered injuries to his head and legs.The female driver was extremely distraught after the accident and was crouching over the victim when police and paramedics arrived.Police said Thursday night it was too early to say if the driver would be cited. The woman was taken away in an ambulance as well.The female was driving an early 2000s Toyota Tercel westbound from Exchange Street onto Willow Street, just past the fork in the road, when she hit the man on the right side of her windshield, causing a large “spiderweb” to form. The impact of the crash also took off the car’s right side view mirror, which was only hanging on the vehicle with duct tape at the time.Police said the victim was wearing dark clothing at the time of the accident.
