SALEM – A Marblehead man accused of burglarizing a home on Pleasant Street last year was indicted Friday by an Essex County grand jury.Rocco Nuzzolo, 26, of 25 Ruby Ave., stands charged with home invasion and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.The charges concern an incident on or about Nov. 21 when he allegedly invaded a home at 185 Pleasant St., armed with a weapon. He apparently attacked a guest in the home before fleeing from the scene.Following an investigation, Nuzzolo was arrested and charged.The indictments handed up now move the case from District Court to Superior Court, allowing for a more severe punishment.He faces a mandatory 20 years in state prison if convicted on the armed home invasion charge and another 10 years punishment on the assault and battery with a dangerous weapon offense.Assistant District Attorney Marsha Slingerland is prosecuting the case for the commonwealth.
