BEVERLY – Courtney Adler was recently named Associate Producer at North Shore Music Theatre.With extensive national experience in theater management, Adler brings a wealth of talent to the region’s second largest non-profit performing arts organization.”North Shore Music Theatre has a tremendous reputation both regionally and nationally,” she said. “I am excited to work with Barry Ivan and the Theatre’s talented staff in support of the valuable role NSMT plays in our community.”Under the direction of incoming Artistic Director and Executive Producer Barry Ivan, Adler will supervise and oversee the daily and long-range programming and production of all staged events at NSMT. Among her many responsibilities, Adler will create and manage production and concert budgets, negotiate union contracts and agreements, coordinate union and non-union casting sessions, supervise technical rehearsals, and work closely with the Education and Production departments to coordinate NSMT’s highly successful Theater for Young Audiences program.”Courtney’s strong commitment to artistic quality and fiscal responsibility make her an ideal addition to our production team,” Ivan said. “Her extensive experience in regional theater, large-scale productions, national tours, and summer stock is a tremendous asset to the Theatre and I look forward to working with her as we enter a new era at North Shore Music Theatre.”Prior to joining NSMT, Adler spent five years as Associate Producer at Starlight Theatre in Kansas City, Mo., where she supervised the technical and company management departments for the Broadway season. While at Starlight she booked national tours, co-produced theatrical events at venues across the country, and produced large scale musicals. Adler also spent two years traveling with the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus as the Associate Production Manager. Responsible for over 100 performers and animals, she supervised and organized backstage production and run crews. An experienced stage manager, Adler’s stage management credits include the Missouri State Ballet and Notre Dame de Paris at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas. Originally from Pittsburgh, Adler received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Production Management from Purdue University and a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Production Management from the University of Missouri.Operating since 1955, NSMT has evolved into the largest non-profit producing theater in New England, with approximately 350,000 patrons annually.
