Mass. labor secretary to speak in Lynn

LYNN – The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce (LACC) and Operation Bootstrap Inc. welcomes Massachusetts Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development Suzanne M. Bump as the keynote speaker at the “Good Morning Lynn” Breakfast Series on Thursday, February 28, 7:30 a.m. at the Porthole Restaurant on the Lynnway, Lynn, MA.Bump will discuss “Bridging the Gap: Training Today’s Workforce”, an overview of the Commonwealth’s current workforce status, as well as workplace education and professional development opportunities available to businesses for employers and employees.Lead Sponsor for the “Good Morning Lynn” Breakfast Series is Mayor Edward J. Clancy, Jr.The presenting sponsors include: East Boston Savings Bank, Labor Ready, North Shore Community College, Peabody Glen Healthcare Center, Riverworks Credit Union and Tides Restaurant.Upcoming speakers and topics for the “Good Morning Lynn” Breakfast Series will include the “State of the City” with keynote speaker the honorable Mayor Edward J. Clancy, Jr, on Thursday, April 17th and “Education Lynn” featuring Lynn Superintendent of School Nick Kostan, A+ teachers and students, on Thursday, May 8th both at 7:30am, location TBA.
