The Tech girls basketball team won the Commonwealth Conference Large title for the fourth year in a row and senior Jessica Underwood was named the CAC Large Most Valuable Player.The Tigers defeated Minuteman Tuesday, but coach John Crowley wasn’t sure if the win gave his team the title until Wednesday night. Tech finished 8-2 in the large division. Crowley expects to hear on Friday whether his team qualified for the state vocational tournament.With Underwood taking home the league MVP award, Tech has now copped the top honor for the last four years. Tamica Harris received the award last year and Shena Mitchell took it home the two previous years. Mitchell and Underwood have been busy in the last week, with both players hitting the 1,000-career-point milestone.Tech also had a couple of other players named to the all-star team. Fanice Baptiste, a sophomore guard, made the first team and sophomore Katrina Freeman was named to the second team.
