LYNN – A man suffering a life-threatening injury after being struck by a car on West Green Street still has not been identified, prompting police to ask for the public’s help.At 7:20 p.m. Friday, the man exited a parked car with his head down near the intersection of Essex Street, apparently unaware that a car was driving right toward him, police said.As of press time, the victim was still lying unconscious but in stable condition at a Boston hospital.Police describe the man as a white male, between 30 and 40 years old with the following tattoos: “Ashley” on his lower right arm, “Mom” on the inside of his right arm, “Dad” on his upper left arm and a picture of a grave stone reading, “In Memory Of” with a picture of a single rose on the grave stone. He was also described as approximately six feet tall, weighing 200 pounds with light brown hair and blue eyes.He was wearing a dark brown jacket, dark blue hooded sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and sneakers.Police contacted the car’s registered owner, a woman, who says she doesn’t know the man’s identity.Police said the driver who struck the unidentified man quickly swerved to avoid hitting him but could not. He was not cited.Anyone with information is urged to call Lynn police at 781-595-2000.
