SAUGUS – A Saugus man was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison Tuesday on charges he lied about sexually assaulting a co-worker at a Boston post office, authorities said.John R. Kelley, 46, of 34 L Bristow St., allegedly denied to investigators that he committed a sexual assault at the Dorchester Center Post Office in September 2000.Kelley also denied having had any sexual contact with the victim, but investigators later found semen in a post office boiler room that was linked to Kelley through DNA, U.S. District Court prosecutors said. The victim, who was supervised by Kelley, brought forth a federal civil lawsuit in February 2005 and was ultimately awarded over $600,000 in the suit, prosecutors said. It was during the course of that lawsuit that DNA evidence was linked to Kelley. Kelley has yet to pay the victim.
