SAUGUS – Police are investigating an apparent armed robbery that began Monday afternoon outside the Stop & Shop on Main Street.A 24-year-old Saugus man said he was in the parking lot when two male acquaintances approached him, according to police.The men asked the victim to drive him to Malden, police said.The suspects got into the victim’s car and during the drive, one allegedly pulled out a handgun and the other pulled out a knife while demanding cash.The victim gave the suspects $32, which was all the money he had, police said.The victim drove the suspects to Jackson Square in Jamaica Plain, where the suspects fled. No arrests were made.
