PEABODY – A man was struck by a car as he crossed Route 1 in Peabody shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday.Glen Gage, 37, was transported to Mass. General Hospital after suffering a non-life threatening injury.Peabody police respon-ded to at least two other calls earlier in the day on reports that Gage and two other men were crossing the busy highway.At 10:26 a.m., police responded to Route 1 near the Carriage House Motel after two men, later identified as Glen Gage and John Furey, 41, were found crossing Route 1.At 9:42 a.m., police responded to the same area and found that Glen’s twin brother, Gary Gage, was also crossing the highway.During that incident, Gary Gage was highly intoxicated and transported to Lynn Union Hospital.
